School Meeting /School System and Staff

How do you respond to special ed dir says to you , Well you just said he dosent eat his lunch at preschool ?? I responded with yes that is true but do his iron and portion issues. You can't not just give him anything he has to get what everyone else has. And to answer it more detail my son says no to everything he has not realized he eating the meat in the meal because the doctors have told me for 5 years is to season it and hide it so he will eat it. He is also only 5 years old he dosent not know Joey cupcake not gluten free. He yet again 5 years old I and his dad and is supporters have the ones that makes sure he gets only right gf milk soy free foods. He just few days realized himself that if he eats off his brother bowl of cereal it makes his belly hurt and he feels sick.. I Turely can't wrap my head around a professional sat right there in front me and sad that... And they can get away with it I'm so upset and feel like I'm about send my son in very unsafe place where these people have not one clue about any of his medcial or how risky it is if you don't follow the doctors with the PhDs say that safe for him... We was told yesterday there will not be 504 or a Iep only think they have do is make him a medical plan and have it in place.. Yup this was me what the hell ?? Are you serious I want that all in writing.. Yes in over beyond pissed!!!

What do you do when school system dosent aloud your child with SPD , ADHD, ASD. Not aloud to have his chewy where he can freey get when he needs it or he not aloud to bring his Pecs schedule book with him to help him or to know who his Safe people are?

What A Service Dog Could Do for Our Family and Our Boys Safety

Reaching out to all friends and family and Supporters to please share it mean a lot to us and thank you so much.

I am working towards obtaining a service dog for my two sons Bryton and

Aspen. My sons both have multiple and differing special needs.

Our family is in need of a service dog that will be trained to alert us

to various medical issues that affect both of our boys.

Bryton was born six weeks premature and soon after birth it became

apparent that he had some serious issues with his formulas. He has since

been diagnosed with Celiac’s Disease and an unusual allergy to a

protein found in Wheat and other grains, and he also had a allergy to dairy products. Bryton has also been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder also Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and Sensory Processing Disorder. It is said that 49% of children with Autism are known to wander/elope, Bryton is one them. At night Bryton gets up and wanders, we have installed safeguards to keep him inside the house but as he gets older he learns to use them and we can never be sure he

can’t get out.

Bryton has also been diagnosed with an immune system disorder that

makes it difficult for his body to produce antibodies to fight off even

the most common infections and he does not build immunity to common

illnesses that children are immunized to such as measles, chicken pox

etc.

Aspen has been having seizures since shortly after birth. He has bouts

of breath holding and fainting. He has recently been diagnosed with a

mild speech delay and it is suspected that he may also have ASD.

Our family would like to have a service dog that would alert us when

the boys wander and especially when they are near water. Especially with Aspen because 

his seizures and fainting spells are unpredictable, he cannot be allowed to swim or participate in water activities. We would also like for the dog

to alert us to Aspen’s seizures, and if possible when Bryton comes

into contact with foods that contain wheat which make him very ill.

The service dog would allow us the freedom to leave the boys

occasionally with a CPR trained caregiver, give us some peace of mind and help the boys socialize and achieve some independence as well.

Update

 So in the last month and half I been told I cause Bri Behavior, By talking in front of him or he over hears me on the phone talking to friend or family and he living up to what I say. UGH:( . On friday at his last day of speech his case manger meets me there and hands me the pecs did for me so i can make his book for school this year as a guide for him and for him to feel more comfortable being in new bigger school. She tells me she not doing anymore I have to work what I have and he don't need all the full details. That I'm Catering to him to everything he wants.  What the Hell???? ( sorry for my lango) But seriously what a low blow to me as a mother trying to make him feel better and helping him . That you and your social worker said I needed to do for him.. Im so fliping confused!! And really makes me feel bad. Just sucks I feel like im totally alone  on getting Bri help everywhere I go there always a issue. Or they want put throw ton test again which he don' t need anymore done. The facts are there. Im just beside myself yet again. 

Update Bryton Speech Therapy

No more speech for Bryton. His speech therapist is leaving the place where we go so her and I decided he doing very well now so we going give it try with out it and we welcome come back if start seeing problems 

Help Mommy's 2 Special Boys get a Service Dog

Mommy also has been working on my app for boys service dog I only need to get the medical forms filled out and then I can mail it all in and see we get approved and after we can start apply for grants to help us get the boys there service dog.. 

Up and Down Day

After going tho a hard long weekend, Mommy is sick and Monkey had a hard day he still trying to get use to all the changes from the weekend and acting out about all that going to Mommy is sick today and not able to do alot things Monkey wants to do. No only is mommy sick little brother is sick too. So it been harder for Monkey to understand stand all this going on. He had hard time for the pass few months getting his behavior under control. Monkey was very upset that he not been able to have the  Ipad for days because he refused to clean up his room... So today mommy reminded him he needed to clean up his room once again and he could have this the Ipad back when the room was cleaned up. Well he waited all day long and wouldn't clean it so there was no Ipad and then before supper there was a meltdown and mommy told him I will go in there and help you but I wasn't cleaning up his mess he has to clean it up. Mommy was only in there to help out and show him what to do and right way putting his things back where they go.  So we worked a little bit and meltdown came on Im done doing this mommy. Im tired and got on the bed and we had to remind him again no Ipad if didn't pick up his room this went on until dinner time and he had to eat his dinner and then we went back to the bedroom and started cleaning after meltdown and Mommy got out the sweeper out told him it time you have to get it cleaned up If mommy had to clean it up he wouldn't get the Ipad until Thursday evening. He decided that he wanted to play on it before then so he got it cleaned up and then it was time to brush our teeth and another  meltdown , We got it down and finely mommy gave him big bear hug and kiss and layed down on his bed. Hoping we don't get up in the middle of the night tonight.

Update On Monkey Family

I'm really sorry that I haven't done any updates the pass few days, My family lives in Toledo Ohio and we are dealing with a Water Crisis As a lot of you probably heard on world /US News. It's getting any easier for any of us there as right now we are still not aloud to drink or cook and only healthy adults can take showers with no open wounds or cuts. We are aloud to do our wash. but no doing dishes or running our tap water. At this point everyone here is using only bottle water and like our family we have bottle water and friends and family that live few hours to hour away that we getting us water from there house and we are driving to take showers there. My family had to travel to take showers do our sons medical issues and my husbands. 

There is a lot need on a lot stuff that other families could use If any of you live close that would like to help with donations. Here is list that a lot of specail needs families could use and our other families in our area.

>Hand sanitizes.
